Kuala Lumpur Tourist Information and Travel Guide
The Batu Caves are among Kuala Lumpur's top tourist attractions. A Hindu temple is situated in the main cave.
The Batu Caves are the focal point for the Thaipusam festival which is celebrated each year by Malaysia's Hindu community.
When climbing the long staircase up to the mouth of the caves, visitors will often come across wild macaque monkeys.
The Batu Caves are located a few kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Simply catch the KL metro northbound along the Port Klang line and exit at the Batu Caves metro station.
